Daniela Micura was born in Austria and holds a degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Vienna and a post-graduate diploma in Publishing from the Ludwig Maximilian University 

in Munich. After working for the Austrian television ORF, in the rights office of a Children’s Book publisher and at Agence Hoffman in Munich, she moves to Italy, where she opens in 

1996 Daniela Micura Literary Services. 

In the following years DMLS establishes itself as a boutique agency and is making books travel. For twenty-two years Daniela Micura has also worked as literary scout for the German publishing group Bastei Lübbe. DMLS has become a reference point for German and English language publishing houses and agencies.
